My work in the theater is devoted to illuminating connections between the individual and the universal. I am always seeking the threads that run through centuries of theater, art, and humanity in order to magnify their presence and shift the air between us. Working primarily with Shakespeare, I value conversation between actors and audience, supported by deep textual investigation and emboldened voice and spirit.

I am currently finishing my M.F.A. at the Academy for Classical Acting. Prior to this course of study, I worked with theater companies around New York City, including New York Classical Theatre. I also trained (as both an actor and a teacher) and performed at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA.

During my time in New York, I co-founded, co-ran, and performed with The Woolgatherers Theater Group, a collaborative and multi-disciplinary company that devised new works and re-imagined classics with a community of like-minded artists from a broad range of social, artistic, and methodological backgrounds. I stepped down from an active role in order to pursue my MFA and am currently developing plans to build my next company that will focus more specifically on the works of Shakespeare.

Other training includes The Barrow Group, The Linklater Center, and The Humanist Project. I also attended Wesleyan University where I received a B.A. in Theater and a certificate in Social, Cultural, and Critical Theory. Before college, I trained in opera and a variety of musical instruments.
