My work in the theater is devoted to illuminating the connections between the personal and universal. I am always seeking vibrations that run through centuries of theater, art, and humanity in order to magnify their strength and shift the air we all breathe. I work primarily with Shakespeare, supported by deep textual analysis, emboldened spirit, and a voice that supports risk-taking and vulnerability.

I am currently an M.F.A. candidate at the Academy for Classical Acting. Prior to this course of study, I performed with a variety of theater companies around Manhattan including New York Classical Theatre, as well as at Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA. I also trained at The Barrow Group, The Linklater Center, with The Humanist Project, and at Shakespeare & Company. I attended Wesleyan University where I received a B.A. in Theater and a certificate in Social, Cultural, and Critical Theory. Before college, I trained in opera and a variety of musical instruments.

During my time in New York, I also co-founded and co-ran The Woolgatherers Theater Group, a company founded to explore visceral honesty, ecstatic spirit, and communal empathy with a community if like-minded artists from a broad range of social, artistic, and methodological backgrounds. I departed in order to pursue my MFA and am currently developing plans to build a company more specifically focused on the work of Shakespeare.

In 2016, in the corner of our neighborhood bar, my best friend and I started a theater company, The Woolgatherers Theater Group. We had gone to college together but were drawn to vastly different theatrical methodologies, but knew that the same philosophies and passions drove us: audience engagement, honest storytelling, and a visceral experience. We gathered around us a collection of stunning artists from a wide range of backgrounds, both artistically and personally, and created five productions together. I stepped down as an artistic director on a high note, after co-producing and acting in Romeo and Juliet in order to pursue my M.F.A. in acting.

As a producer, I managed most of the logistics, while Grace managed the creative vision, as aligned with her position as the productions' director. I have managed fundraising campaigns ranging from $2,000 to $15,000 and ran marketing strategies that led to multiple sold out performances. I also ran our social media in a way that not only presented our aesthetic and values but also drew our audiences in as part of our community rather than observers of our work. And, as anyone in the theater knows, I picked up any little bits and pieces that needed tending throughout the process, from hiring front of house staff to running out and buying ice myself.

I am a strong leader, a good delegator, and a lifelong student of group dynamics and interpersonal communication. It brings me deep pleasure to bring artists together and help facilitate a shared creative process.
